Gaspar d’Angis best in 90,000€ GNT leg 3

Gaspar d’Angis (7g Quaro-Reveuse  d’Angis) rallied to win the third leg of the harness racing Grand National du Trot at Lyon, France Tuesday (April 12) (Gr. III, purse 90,000€, 2825 meters for 5–10-year-old national trotteurs) timed in 1.12.0kr.

Eric Raffin teamed the 8/1 odds winner that is owned and trained J.M. Baudouin. Gaspar now has 11 career wins for 325,560€ earned.

The 8/10 favorite Harlem de Bucy (6m Lilium Madrik-Roma du Houlbet) was second with Alexandre Abrivard aboard for trainer Christophe Ecaland. Third was 22/1 Gangster du Wallon (7m Lets Go Along) reined by Alexis Collette. Finishing fourth was 4.6/1 Horchestro (6g Sam Bourbon) and fifth was 9/1 Howdy Partner (6m Repeat Love).

On the GNT card was the Prix de Bordeaux (purse 27,000€, LeTrot Open des Regions Centre-Est, three-year-olds, 2850 meters distance handicap). The 2.9/1 odds and 25-meter handicapped King Of Cash (3m Ready Cash-Euforiawicz) rallied wide to victory timed in 1.16.8kr with trainer Loris Garcia at the lines for Ecurie du Vieux Chene. This was his second career victory now for 30,260€ earned.

The 11/1 Kalie Wood (3f Memphis du Rib-Calita Wood-Goetmals Wood-Qualita Bourbon) was a fast finishing second for Serge Peltier, trainer J.A. Hernandez-Navarro and owner Jean Pierre Dubois. Third was 52/1 Kandie d’Orco (3f Dijon-Bahia d’Orco) for driver Laurent Lamaziere and handicapped 25-meters and fourth was 1.4/1 odds favorite and 25-meter handicapped Kiroman (3m Fabulous Wood-Quaromantica) reined by owner JPD. This one battled near the lead throughout three and two wide.

The aforementioned JPD secured a victory on April 10 at Hyeres in the Prix Paques a L’Hipppodrome with 1.18.8kr timed Kisica Island (3f Fabulous Wood-Viva Island-Goetmals Wood). This was the maiden win for Kisica Island. In the same Hyeres card JPD finished second with Jealousy Love (4f Scipion du Goutier-Song Of Love-Coktail Jet).

The dam of this one is a daughter of Guilty Of Love (And Arifant-Amour d’Aunou-Speedy Somolli-Nesmile) perhaps Dubois’ most notable maternal family. And, this family evolved from Nesmile being bred to US stallions:
