The 9/10 favorite Horace du Goutier (6m Ready Cash-Uniflore Daidou) set the pace and held gamely for second, dealing with a 25-meter penalty, with Hugues Monthule aboard for trainer Sebastien Guarato and Ecurie Saint Martin. The 20/1 Gaelic du Rocher (7g Uniclove) rallied to be third for Benjamin Rochard and trainer Franck Leblanc. Fourth to the line was 10/1 Halicia Bella (6g Bold Eagle) handled by Antoine Wiels for owner/trainer J.P. Marmion.
In the early morning today the legendary trotteur and sire Ready Cash passed away from colic at age 18. The winner of nine Gr. I events and 23 Gr. II races earned over 4.2€ million. His legacy carried on through top performing offspring that are also highly production sires. More to follow.
