Go For The Gold scores in Paris

The 13/1 odds Go For The Gold (8g Ready Cash-Grace de Tembia-Workaholic) easily scored in today’s (May 21) monte Gr. III International Prix Louis Sauve (purse 90,000, 2700 meters, nine International starters ages 5-11) at Paris-Vincennes.

Mathieu Mottier was the winning jockey for trainer and breeder Thierry Duvaldestin and owner Ecurie Union Story. The winner now has 21 victories in 54 career starts for 460,140€ earned. Gold has won four of his last five monte appearances. Race time was 1.11.8kr.

Hirondelle du Rib (7f Rolling d’Heripre) was second at 9/1 odds for jockey J.L.Cl. Dersoir and trainer Joel Hallais. Ganvillaise Bleue (8f Jag de Bellouet) rallied for third ridden by Camille Levesque for owner Michel Gallier and trainer Pierre Levesque. She was off at 3.8/1 odds. Fulton (9g Royal Dream) at 8.1/1 and 1.4/1 Edition Gema completed the top five.

On the undercard was the Prix Coronis (purse 62,000€, 2700 meters, 13 European starters three-year olds). Here the 7/10 odds favorite Frank Gio (3m Face Time Bourbon-Zarina Gio-Ruty Grif) scored timed in 1.14.2kr with Mathieu Abrivard driving. Scuderia Bivans Srl owns this Sebastien Guarato trainee. This colt has won twice in three starts in FR and now has career earnings of 74,840€.

His dam, unraced, is a daughter of Ilaria Jet (Pine Chip-Toby’s Taxi-Baltic Speed) and she won 1.007,039€. Ilaria Jet also produced Tony Gio (Varenne) with 1,055,566€ earned and Victor Gio (Ready Cash) with 157,401€ earned. Back to Zarina Gio, she has already produced Ena Kant Gio (Vivid Wise As) with 66,975€ earned.

Finishing second to Frank Gio was 7.1/1 odds Loopimg Day (3m Face Time Bourbon-Daytona Jet-Goetmals Wood) reined by Franck Nivard for trainer Guarato and owner Ecurie Hunter Valley. This dam Daytona Jet won 305,210€ and is from Run For Jet by Coktail Jet, a pedigree of Jean Etienne Dubois. Finishing third in this event was 10/1 L’As Desbois (3m Booster Winner)
