Go On Boy, Horsy Dream wins first heats of Elitloppet

Harness racing driver Romain Derieux drove and trains the first Elitloppet elim winner Go On Boy (8m Password-Balginette-Hasting) timed in 1.08.7kr (mile rate 1:50.53) over the one mile distance.

The winner’s share of the purse is 21,500€ and Go On Boy was off at 7.2/1 from post three. Ecurie Nixonn owns the now 15-time winner in 53 starts. He made a winning three wide brush in upper stretch to secure the win over Capital Mail (6m Nad Al Sheba-Unicona Golden-Varenne) reined by Antonio Di Nardo for trainer Gennaro Casillo off at 50.4/1 odds. Third was Denver Gio (5m Southwind Frank-Swan Wise As-Varenne) at 16.1/1 with Bjorn Goop driving the Alessandro Gocciadoro trainee.

There was a mishap at the start and 3.8/1 Idao de Tillard was far back at the start. He caught the  field on the inner and then tired. Onas Prince was fourth at 4.9/1 and Joviality ended fifth at 10.4/1 odds.

The Pierre Belloche trained, and Eric Raffin reined Horsy Dream (7m Scipion du Goutier-Bonanza du Closet-Prince Gede) took today’s second Elitloppet elimination worth 21,500€ to the winner.

Ecurie du Closey owns the now 20-time winner in 43 starts that today was off at 4.4/1 odds. The winner has been recently rounding back into top form in his previous three appearances. Today he raced in the death seat as Decision Maker set the pace.

Hohneck (7m Royal Dream-Caranca-Ready Cash) was second at 3.5/1 with Gabrielle Gelormini driving for owner/trainer Philippe Allaire. He was bred by Allaire and Jean Pierre Guay. The 2.1/1 odds favorite Francesco Zet (6m Father Patrick-Shaqline-Credit Winner) was third driven by Orjan Kihlstrom for Daniel Reden/Stall Zet. Brixton Medical AB bred this one that had raced only once since August 2023. Borups Victory was fourth at 23.2/1 odds and fifth finishing was Gaspar de Brion at 21.4/1. Race time was 1.08.7kr (mile rate 1:50.53 over the 1609 meter autostart distance.
