Go On Boy (on the outside) upsets favorite Vivid Wise As

Go On Boy (5m Password-Balginette), off at 8.8/1 odds, took the featured Prix de Washington (purse 100,000€, 1609 meters autostart, Gr. II International) today at Enghien-Soisy in France with trainer Romain Derieux teaming for owner Caroline Logier.

Race time was 1.09.6kr for the now 12 time career winner for 307,120€ earned. The winner relentlessly pursued leading Vivid Wise As (7m Yankee Glide-Temple Blue Chip) and inched by on the line.

Vivid Wise As was the 8/10 favorite and was teamed this day by Matthieu Abrivard for trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro and owner Scuderia Bivans Srl, the owner of Face Time Bourbon that goes tomorrow in Belgium. Third in this one was 4.4/1 Violetto Jet (7m From Above-Nocciolaia Jet) for Franck Nivard and trainer Fabrice Souloy. Davidson du Pont was fourth ahead of Fric du Chane.

The undercard feature was the Prix de Milan (purse 80,000€, 2150 meters autostart, Gr. III European) and 2.5/1 Hooker Berry (4n Booster Winner-Osaka Berry) powered past rivals in mid stretch to score easily in 1.12.8kr for Jean Michel Bazire.

Franck Leblanc trains this one for Michel Aldenise to his seventh career win now for 448,120€ earned.

The 1.3/1 favorite Helgafell (4m Charly du Noyer-Baaria) was second for Eric Raffin racing with shoes on for trainer Philippe Allaire and Ecurie Normandy Spirit. Third was 6.6/1 shoes on stablemate Hohneck (4m Royal Dream-Caranca) handled by Franck Nivard for trainer/owner Philippe Allaire.
