Golden Gio dominates Prix de Chateau Chinon

Golden Gio (3m Face Time Bourbon-Zed Wise As)dominated rivals in his 1.13.8kr timed win of the Prix de Chateau Chinon  (Gr III, purse 90,000€, 2700 meters, 11 European three year olds) at Paris-Vincennes.

Off as the even-money favorite the Matthieu Abrivard reined colt won for the third straight time in France and improved his career bankroll  to 218,760€. Sebastien Guarato trains the winner for Zacon Gio Srl. Maestro Vrie(3m Village Mystic-Sagade Vrie) was second with Mathieu  Mottier driving for trainer Louis Baudron and owner Alain Jathiere. Make A Dream(3m Royal Dream-Vandetta de Joudes) took third at 28/1  odds for driver/trainer/owner Julien Dublois. The 35/1 Memphis de Brasse (3m Gotland) and 17/1 odds Muzan  Kibutsuju (3g Father Patrick) completed the top five to the line.

On the undercard was the Quinte+ Prix de Saint Aubin les Elbeuf (purse 60,000€, 2700 meters, 13 five year old starters) where 15/1 Koufra Iris’eyes (5f Un   Charme Fou-Beauty de  Jamac) scored in 1.13.3kr with Alexis Collette driving for breeder/owner Daniel Flamme and conditioner J.M. Chainaux.

The winner now sports seven wins in 23 career starts for  195,865€ earned. She was  victorious after last racing monte three weeks ago.Krystal Piya (5f Face Time Bourbon-Etchola) was second at 22/1odds with David Thomain teaming the Clement Thoman trainee for Nathalie Viel-Pierre.  Key Lady (5f Prodigiois-Maflymede) was third  at12/1 odds for driver Mathieu Mottier and trainer/owner/breeder Louis Baudron. Krackmania (5f Uniclove) was fourth at 14/1 and fifth was  7.3/1 odds Kalkiskana (5f Niky).
