Two excellent harness racing groupe III races highlighted today’s Enghien-Soisy racecard with the first being the Prix de Geneve (purse 90,000€, 2875 meters voltstart, 12 four year old open starters). The 7.8/1 odds J’Aime Le Foot (4m Boccador de Simm-Elegant de Foot) was clocked in 1.13.0kr for the win handled by Eric Raffin for trainer Antoine Lherete. The winner now has eight career wins in 20 starts. Juliet Papa Bravo (4f Ready Cash-Une Lady en Or) was second at 6.1/1 with Clement Duvaldestin aboard for owner Jean Pierre Barjon and trainer Thierry Duvaldestin. Josh Power (4m Offshore Dream-Balginette) landed third at 19.1 for driver/trainer Sebestian Ernault. Juninho Dry and Deus Zack completed the top five.
In the co-featured Prix de Berlin (Gr. III, purse 90,000€, 2875 meters voltstart, three year old open with 12 starters) the 17/1 Krack Time Atout (3m Face Time Bourbon-Topaze d’Atout) scored in 1.13.6kr. Paul Phillipe Ploquin reined this one for trainer Sebastian Guarato. This was the winner’s third career victory in 16 starts. Brothers In Arms (3m Fabulous Wood-Elusive Melody) was a close second at 31/1 with Gabriele Gelormini the pilot for trainer Fabrice Souloy. Third home was Kristal Josselyn (3m Bold Eagle-City Sees) at 11/1 for Benjamin Rochard driving for trainer Guarato. Jazzman (3m Niky) was fourth at 2.4/1 in this race of upsetters. The well-regarded 1.5/1 Koctel du Dain, Kamehameha were miscue dq’s and Knockonwood finished sixth.
