Iguski Sautonne captures GNT 13th leg

Iguski Sautonne (6m Village Mystic-Sara Sautonne) rallied steadily to win today’s 13th leg of the Grand National du Trot series, today at Toulouse over a sloppy track.

The Gr III GNT (purse 90,000€, 2950 meters distance handicap, 15 entrants ages 5-10) saw Iguski Sautonne record his 16th career win in 46 starts for 377,940€. Matthieu Abrivard engineered the victory with a horse he owns and trains and was off as the 1.1/1 odds favorite.

The 17/1 Goal Star (8g Look de Star) held second for Alexandre Abrivard, trainer Dominik Locqueneux and Lucky 8 Racing/ The 20/1 Invictus Madiba (6m Booster Winner) was third for Alexis Collette with 20/1 odds Happy Jo de Ligny (7m Brillantissime) home fourth for Lana Henry.
