Gu d’Heripre takes Gr. II at Vincennes

A solid upper-level card was on display Saturday at Paris-Vincennes including two groupe level contests.

Before that was the Prix de la Lorraine (purse 67,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 16 starters) with victory to 3.9/1 odds Wild Love (7f Love You – Twins Vilda). This Anders Lindqvist trainee has Alexis Prat at the lines as she scored in 1.11.5kr to secure her third victory in France from eight starts and raise her lifetime earnings to 354,265€.

The 13/1 Denicheaur de Vif (8g Redlight Jet) was next for trainer/driver Asymeric Thomas. The 5.1/1 odds Et Voila de Muze (7m Royal Dream) was third for Gabriele Gelormini,

Wild Love

In the Prix de Chatgeau-Gaillard (purse 58,000€, distance 2700 meters, 16 European starters) the 3.4/1 Rebella Matters (6f Explosive Matter – Mystical News) scored in 1.12.4kr for her trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire, and owner Stall TRC Rebell for Norway. The winner now has career earnings of 316,165. The 5/2 favorite Domingo d’Ela (8g Opium) was second for J.Ph. Bondajko and third home was 18/1 Carnival du Vivier (9g Ni Ho Ped d’Ombree) handled by Clement Duvaldestin.

Rebella Matters

The Sulky Summer Races Gr II for five year olds (purse 100,000€, 2175 meters, nine starters) featured two superb sons of Coktail Jet and 8/10 favorite Gu d’Heripre (5m Coktail Jet – Vedetta d’Heripre) prevailed for driver Franck Nivard, trainer Philippe Billard and Ecurie d’Heripre.

This was Gu d’Heripre’s 14th career win now for 795,900€ with this 1.11.2kr score. 2.9/1 Gelati Cut (5m Coktail Jet – Variety Cut) was second for Gabriele Gelormini, trainer R.C. Larue and breeder/owner Ecurie de Windcut. 118/1 Gala Tejy (5m Atlas de Joudes) was third for Thomas Chalon and fourth was 47/1 Gallant Way (5m Ready Cash) for Anthony Barrier (this one trainer by Philippe Allaire for notable journalist/owner Jacques Pauc).

Gu d’Heripre

The Prix Jena Riaud (Gr. III, purse 90,000€, 2850 meters distance handicap, 5-10 year olds International) completed the day’s groupe level action and this one went to Dorgos de Guez (8g Romcok du Guez – Lady Fromentro) clocked in 1.14.4kr off slowly rated fractions.

Trainer Jean Michel Bazire was at the controls for breeder/owner Ecurie Vautors. This 3/10 favorite was from a 25-meter handicap as he recorded career victory 31 and raised his life earnings to 968,330€. Second home was 24/1 Detroit Castelets (8m Neoh Jiel) for David Thomain and 11/1 Eclat de Gloire (7g Tiego d’Etang) took third ahead of 11/1 Jerry Mom (8m Ready Cash) with Pierre Vercruysse aboard.
