Big win for Hierro Boko at St. Michel AJO

Hierro Boko (9g From Above-Staro Almighty-Yankee Glide) easily won today’s St. Michel AJO (purse to winner 80,000€, 1609 meters autostart, eight starters) off at 10/1 odds with Santtu Raitala at the lines for trainer Hannu Korpi. Race time was a super quick 1.08.3kr (mile 1:49.89) as Hierro won for the ninth time in 17 harness racing starts this year and for the 28th time in 104 career appearances. Hail Mary (7m Gaagaa-Dreams-Victory Dream) was almost three lengths back second at 1.7/1 and with Orjan Kihlstrom driving for trainer Daniel Reden. Third home was 6.9/1 odds Bengurion Jet (6m Mahjarajah-Love Me Tender-Supergill) for trainer/driver Alessandro Gocciadoro. Mellby Jinx at 10.9/1 and 29.1/1 Run Foor Royalty completed the top five in this classic race over a very fast racecourse.

On the undercard was the Fyraaringslopp (12,000€ to the winner, 1609 meters autostart, nine starters) and 2.86/1 odds Don’t Say Gar (4f Varenne-Revirade Gar-Pine Chip) was a very impressive parked the mile winner timed in 1.09.7kr (mile rate 1:52.15). Alessandro Gocciadoro trains and drives this one for ED Magic KB. She has three wins in seven 2023 starts and nine career wins in 23 appearances.
