Today’s (Aug. 13) Enghien-Soisy featured Gr. II International Prix de Londes (purse 120,000€, 2875 meters voltstart, monte for 6–10-year-olds with 18 starters) was a super great harness racing contest. It ended in a nose victory for 8.3/1 Homer de Fromentel (6g Vanishing Point-Rose de Fromentel) and jockey Christopher Corbineau and owner/trainer Damiel Lecoq.
He led for much of the event and recorded his 11th career victory in 38 starts for 256.200€ earned. Race time was a quick 1.11.8kr over the extended distance. The close second went to 9/1 Filwell (8g Qwerty-Regence) with Camille Levesque in the irons for breeder/trainer/owner Pierre Levesque. This team was ninth in mid-stretch and 13th at the halfway mark.
Camille engineering a superb journey for this one, in her usual style. Third home was 62/1 Granit Meslois (7g Shadow d’Odyssee-Sexy Meslois) handled by Victor Saussaye for trainer Pierre Belloche. 34/1 odds Fine Perle Of Love (8f Theo Josselyn-Source Of Love) was fourth ridden by Nathalie Henry of trainer/owner Emmanuel Varin. Geisha Speed, Fakir de L’Ecluse and 3.8/1 Hirondelle du Rib completed the top seven. Quite a race that illustrates the excitement of the big field and distance.
