Laval in France hosted today’s (June 7) 6th leg of the Grand National du Trot harness racing series, this one named the Grand Prix Laval Agglomeration (Gr. III, purse 90,000€, 2850 meters distance handicap).
Horace du Goutier (6m Ready Cash-Uniflore Daidou) was victorious with a front-end journey reined by Hugues Monthule for Ecurie Saint Martin and trainer Sebastian Guarato. Race time was 1.11.6kr by the 2.2/1 odds favorite. Horace won for the 15th time in his career now for 284,810€ earned.
The 15/1 Howdy Partner (6m Repeat Love-Action Replay) landed second with Franck Nivard up for Stall Panamera Racing and trainer Tomas Malmqvist. Hidalgo des Noes (6g Opium-Rosinda Pont) was third at 4.6/1 with Gabriele Gelormini driving for Ecurie Danover and trainer Stephane Provoost. Geisha Speed was fourth for pilot Anthony Barrier and the 25-meter handicapped Happy Valley was fifth for Jean Philippe Dubois.
