Horace du Goutier (6m Reafdy Cash-Uniflore Daidou) rallied to the harness racing lead at the halfway point and scored easily by two lengths in today’s (April 26) Grand National du Trot leg four (purse 90,000€, 3150 meters distance handicap, 16 starters) at Saint-Brieuc in France.
Hugues Monthule teamed the 2.9/1 odds winner for trainer Sebastian Guarato and owner Ecurie Saint Martin that won for the 14th time in his career now for 288,310€ earned. Monthule, once the caretaker of Bold Eagle, won for the 111th time in his driving career in 955 starts.
Glamour Queen (7f Prodigious-Queen’s Glory), an early leader today, emerged from the pegs to earn second for pilot Jean Philippe Dubois, Ecurie Victoria Dreams and trainer Philippe Moulin, off at 3.3/1 odds. Gaspar d’Angis (7g Quaro-Reueuse d’Angis) was third at 4.3/1 after overcoming a 26-meter handicap with Eric Raffin the reinsman for owner/trainer J.M. Baudouin.
Figolu Frazwwn was fourth and Guiness d’Herfraie landed fifth money. Well-regarded and 25-meter handicapped Gangster du Wallon and Hip Hop Haufor were sixth and eighth respectively.
