Hussard du Landret takes Gr.II Prix de Bretagne

The 13/1 odds Hussard du Landret (7m Bird Parker-Enakine du Bellay) held gamely in front for Yoann Lebourgeois to capture the Prix de Bretagne – Amerique Q1 (Gr. II International, purse 120,000€, 2700 meters voltstart, 18 starters ages 4-10) timed in 1.11.4kr.

The Benoit Robin owned and trained performer held of surging 4.3/1 San Moteur (7m Panne de Moteur-Rung San Suu Kyi) with trainer Bjorn Goop aboard for Stall Arvidssons. Hussard now has 11 career wins in 63 starts for 1,021,360€ earned.

Hooker Berry (7m Booster Winner-Osaka Berry) closed stoutly at 9/1 odds to gain third and another chance to capture the Prix d’Amerique as a former winner. The top four finishers today gain an Amerique ticket (previously the top three qualified in the B races).

Finishing fourth was 28/1 Just Love You (5f Love You-Just In Love) with Alexandre Abrivard up for Michele Bliard and trainer L.C. Abrivard. Banderas Bi (7m Ganymede) was fifth at 38/1 for Alessandro Gocciadoro with Josh Power (5m Offshore Dream) sixth at 2.8/1 favorite odds with Eric Raffin up after contesting the pace throughout.
