Prix d’Amerique (Gr. I International, purse 1,000,000€, distance 2700 meters, 18 starters ages 4-11) victory advanced his scorecard to 33 wins in 47 starts for 2,898,660€.

He advanced off cover and sprinted clear mid-stretch before holding off rivals nearing the finish.

The trainer Thierry Duvaldestin is no stranger here as he also conditioned Ready Cash and his son Clement Duvaldestin reined this new champion for owner Cyril Sylvestre and breeder Francoise Chaunion.

Finishing second was late closing 37/1 Just Love You (6f Love You-Just In Love) with Alexandre Abrivard driving for trainer L.C. Abrivard and owner/breeder Michele Bliard.

The 2.4/1 odds second favorite Go On Boy (9m Password-Balginette) was third for Romain Derieux the trainer/driver for Ecurie Nixonn and 8.9/1 Josh Power (6m Offshore Dream-Balginette) was fourth handled by Eric Raffin for Sebastien Ernault training  for GB Trot.

IDAO DE TILLARD REPLAY

Hussard de Landret at 16/1, Ideal Ligneries at 106/1 odds and 116/1 Justin Bold completed the top seven.

The mile rate race time was 1:54.4 over the rain dampened surface and over the 2700 meters distance that is 1 and 11/16 miles.

A superb crowd likely 45,000 filled the stands and dining rooms to take in the races and the accompanying great festivities/entertainment.

This worldwide classic started in 1920 to honor America for its winning role for France in WW1.
