Five-year-old males contested the Gr. II Prix Jean le Gonidec (purse 120,000€, 2175 meters voltstart) with a relatively easy victory to the 4/10 favorite Idao de Tillard (5m Severino-America de Tillard) clocked in 1.09.7kr off quick fractions.
Clement Duvaldestin reined this Thierry Duvaldestin trainee for owner Cyril Sevestre as Idao recorded his 21st career win now for 1,015,430€ earned. He sat the pocket before easing out and to the lead mid-stretch. This is a great gaited, well-mannered trotteur with a very promising future.
The 11/1 odds Ideal Ligneries (5m Repeat Love-Ouragame) was second with Franck Nivard piloting the Ecurie le Tremont owned and Fabrice Souloy trainer performer. Third was 21/1 Izoard Vedaquais (5m Bird Parker-Dokha Vedaquais) with Alexandre Abrivard teaming this Philippe Allaire owned and trained stallion. The 34/1 Invincible Cash (5m Ready Cash-Urawa Turgot) ended fourth for Mathieu Mottier.
In the Prix Guy le Gonidec (Gr. II, purse 120,000€, 2700 meters, four-year-old females) the 3.1/1 odds Joumba de Guez (4f Carat Williams-Quoumba de Guez) built a large lead for Jean Michel Bazire, trainer and driver, and scored in 1.12.6kr for her fifth career victory now for 120,820€ earned. Ecurie Vautors owns the winner.
Jazzy Perrine (4f Django Riff-Trendy Perrine) was a closing second at 3.6/1 for Eric Raffin, Ecurie Hunter Valley and trainer Tomas Malmqvist. She raced well after a record performance at Solvalla two weeks ago. Today’s Prix Chambon P (Gr. II, purse 120,000€, 2850 meters for International 6–10-year-olds) showcased the return of Ampia Mede SM (7f Ganymede-Polimpia Slide SM) in her first appearance since a superb Winter Meet at Vincennes. Today she raced covered until the stretch and then vaulted to victory timed in 1.13.4kr off pedestrian fractions.
Off at 1.3/1 odds Ampia recorded her 17th career win now for 1,347,096€ in life earnings. Scuderia SE Fin own the winner that Fabrice Souloy trains and Franck Nivard is her pilot.
Harlem de Bucy (6m Lilium Madrik-Roma du Houlbet) was second with Alexandre Abrivard aboard for trainer Christophe Ecalard at 4.7/1 odds. The four-year-olds took center stage for the Prix Jules Thibault (Gr. II, purse 120,000€, 13 starters) and Jushua Tree (4m Bold Eagle-Ma Sissi James-Buvertier d’Aunou) was an easy winner timed in 1.12.5kr reined by trainer Jean Michel Bazire.
