Driver/trainer/owner Matthieu Abrivard found a way to escape blockage late on the pegs and his trainee charged past rivals for the victory, his 19th in 59 career starts for 688,380€ earned. The 5.9/1 Justin Bold (6m Bold Eagle-Udine) held gamely for second with P-Y Verva driving the J.R. Delliaux trainee for Ecurie du Damier.
Third to the line was 3.1/1 odds Ino du Lupin (7g Scipion du Goutier-Tina d’Hermes) with Antoine Wiels handling the J.P. Marmion trained/owned/bred trotteur. The 10/1 Gaspar d’Angis (9g Quaro), 67/1 Elvis du Vallon (11m Reve de Beymev), 3.8/1 Just Love You (6f Love You) and 19/1 Just A Gigolo (6m Boccador de Simm) completed the top seven finishers. Fulton and Hymne du Gers were scratched.
