Impala de Val takes Gr III Yvonnick Bodin Prize

Today’s Paris-Vincennes featured Prix Yvonnick Bodin (Gr III monte, apprentice jockeys, purse 90,000€, 2700 meters, 16 starters ages 6-10) saw 1.1/1 odds favorite Impala de Val (7g Viking de Val-Axelle du Noyer) score in 1.11.6kr, ridden by Jean Ferron for trainer P.E. Mary and Ecurie JP and Co.

The winner now sports 22 wins in 53 starts for 684,390€ earned. Halicia Bella (8f Bold Eagle-Talicia Bella) was second for jockey Lou Ann Lecoq and trainer/owner J.P. Marmion off at 26/1 and followed by 26/1 odds Harmonista (8f Vulcain de Vandel-Born To Be A Star) with Mehdi Lelievre up. Ecurie des Charmes owns this one and Franck Nivard trains. Gold Voice (9f Jag de Bellouet) was home fourth at 19.1 with Charline Blaizotin the irons.

On the undercard the 8/1odds Ialto d’Hertals (7g Alto de Viette-Sonate de Flore) won the Prix de Bar-Le-Duc (purse  90,000€, 2850 meters, 15 European starters ages 5-10) timed in 1.13.7kr. Clement Duvaldestin teamed the Thierry Duvaldestin trainee  that Stal d’Atom owns.

This was the winner’s eighth career victory in 47 starts for 359,530€. The 30/1 Ninepoints Lasse (7g Uncle Lasse-Ninepoints Lucy) was next driven by P-Y Verva for trainer Jorgen Westholm and owner Bengt Johansson. Jongleause de Lune (6f Cash And Go-Colombe Royale) took third at 3.7/1 odds with Benjamin Rochard aboard for trainer Kevin Leblanc.
