Indy de Jyr takes Grand National du Trot Leg 9

Today’s ninth leg  of the Grand National du Trot (Gr III, purse 90,000€,  2850 meters distance  handicap, 16 harness racing starters ages 5-10) at Meslay du  Maine went  to 1.3/1 odds favorite and 25 meter handicapped Indy de Jyr (7g Theo Josselyn-Sidonie-Hand du Vivier) with Benjamin Rochard  driving.

Marc Sassier trains this12 time career winner of 425,720€ for Ecurie Jyr. Jilord Viva (6g Vulcain du Vivier-Uza Vivo-Korean) was a distant second for Eric Raffin driving for trainer Julien Raffestin and owner/breeder Paul Viel, at 4.9/1 odds. Je Reve du Bois (6g Reve de Beylev) was third at 20/1 for Anthony Barrier, handicapped 25 meters, followed by 2.9/1 odds Hubble du Vivier (8g Vulcain du Vivier) also penalized 25 meters with Jean Michel Bazire driving.
