Ino du Lupin wins again at Vincennes

Ino du Lupin (6g Scipion du Goutier-Tina d’Hermes) won today’s (Jan. 4) Prix Hersilie (purse 71,000€, 2700 meters, European 11 starters ages 6-8 years) timed in 1.13.4kr, his third victory in his last four starts with one second place finish.

Ino du Lupin now has 14 career wins in 20 starts for earnings of 276,360€. Antoine Wiels reined the 8/10 favorite odds winner for trainer/owner/breeder Jean Paul Marmion. Indy Rock (6g Readly Express) was second at 3.4/1 driven by Alexandre Abrivard for Stall Verrazzani AB and trainer Daniel Reden. Third was 23/1 Hove Pont Vautier (7m Uniclove) for pilot Francois Lagadeuc, Ecurie le Tremont and trainer Fabrice Souloy.

Also, on the Thursday card the 6.1/1 Keen Winner (4f Ready Cash-Darling de Reux-Prodigious) took the Prix de Cocey le Chateau (purse 62,000€, 2700 meters, 11 four-year-old female starters) timed in 1.14.3kr for driver Benjamin Rochard.

Thibault Lamare trains this one for Ecurie Winner, the mare’s third win in 11 starts for earnings of 90,590€.  Second home was 29/1 Kitty Call (4f Ready Cash-Fortuna Jet) handled by Adrien Lamy for Ecurie du Londel and trainer Tomas Malmqvist. Keen Of The Night (4f Royal Dream) was third at 13/1 odds with Anthony Barrier at the lines.

It was also reported that the legendary trainer/driver Stig H. Johansson has retired. Stig H won the Elitloppet six times (The Onion, Utah Bulwark, Napoletano, Peace Corps, Gum Ball and Victory Tilly in 2000) and with Queen L won the Prix d’Amerique and Prix de France.
