Izoard Vedaquais earns ticket to Prix d’Amerique

Izoard Vedaquais (6m Bird Parker-Dokha Vedaquaise) took today’s (Jan. 14) Prix de Belgique (Gr. II International, Amerique PMU Q6, purse 120,000€, 2850 meters, 18 starters ages 4-11) timed in 1.13.0kr with an aggressive front stepping journey and rated pace.

Off at 2.3/1 odds the Benjamin Rochard teamed stallion is owned by trainer Philippe Allaire and was bred by J.P. Guay. Izoard Vedaquais now has 17 wins in 35 starts for earnings of 878,550€.

Inmarosa (6f Amiral Sacha-Varkavc) was a dead heat second at 7.2/1 odds with Leo Abrivard driving for trainer L.C. Abrivard and owner Jacques Cottel. Go On Boy (8m Password-Balginette) was dead heat second at 7.5/1 with Romain Derieux the trainer/driver for Ecurie Nixonn. Hussard de Landret (7m Bird Parker) was fourth at 17/1 for Yoann Lebourgeois with fifth to 6/1 Ganay de Banville (8m Jasmin de Flore) with trainer Jean Miche Bazire up.

Hooker Berry was eighth, the the Amerique winner last year, Hohneck ended 13^th, Cokstile was 12^th, Hail Mary was sixth as Beads and Fakir du Lorault were miscue dq’s.
