New Year’s Day trots at Paris-Vincennes showcased the Prix Dominik Cordeau (purse 71,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 14 European starters ages 5-6) and the Europeans took four of the top five finishes led by 1.5/1 odds Jabalpur (6m Booster Winner-Silema) with Gabriele Gelormini aboard. The Alain Chavatte trainee is owned by Tramontom Srl and now has eight career wins in 36 starts for 273,590 earned. Race time was 1.11.0 off quick early fractions.
Finishing second was 26/1 Global Dubhe (6g Brillantissime-Global Nova) that Benjamin Rochard handled for Johan Untersteiner and SRK Stable. Dea Sprint Bar (6f Muscle Hill-Lana del Rio) was third at 7.1/1 with Matthieu Abrivard aboard for trainer Alessando Gocciadoro and owner Louis Baudron. Edgar Saba (5g Exploit Caf) was fourth at 7/1 odds with Francois Lagadeuc up for H.E. Bondo with 21/1 Coral Coger (5f Ken Warkentin) home fifth for Asebo Agro HB and driver/trainer Nicolas Baire.

Later on this card the 1.9/1 odds favorite Hockfeler du Mesle (8g Rockfeller Center-Tania du Noyer) took the Prix du Croise Laroche (purse 63,000€, 2850 meters voltstart, 14 starters ages 8-9) timed in 1.13.7kr. Eric Raffin handled the Pierre Belloche trainee for Ecurie B. The winner now has 10 career wins in 70 starts for 234,960€.
He barely held off rallying 14/1 Haide Sautonne (8f Magnificent Rodney-Sara Sautonne) that Benjamin Rochard reined by trainer Marc Sassier and breeder/owner Ecurie de Sautonne. Gershwin de Chenu (8g Boccador de Simm) was third at 29/1 odds handled by Jean Michel Bazire for Pierre Pellerot the trainer/owner. Grand Roi Kalouma (9g Royal Dream) was fourth at 23/1 and the 7/10 favorite Hurricane Carter (8f Niky) landed fifth in this blanket finish.
