David Bekaert teamed the winner to an easy victory for breeder/owner Ecurie Vautors. This was his third career win now for 73,130€ earned. Javanaise Turgot (4f Prince d’Espace) was second at 9/1 for reinsman Y-A Briand. Third home was 8.5/1 odds and 25 meter handicapped Judicious Winner (4m Prodigious) with Mickael Cormy at the lines. Race time was 1.14.1kr.
Later in the Prix Jean Boillereuu (purse 57,000€, European 6-11 year olds, 2925 meters distance handicap) the 1.13.1kr timed victor was 4.9/1 odds Fakir du Ranch (8g Rockfeller Center-Great Glory) . The winner overcame a 25-meter handicap to win for driver Christophe Martens, owner Y-A Briand and trainer Yohann Haret. This was his 21st career win now for 406,720€ in life earnings. The 9/10 favorite Honky Tonk Blues (6g Magnificent Rodney) was second for driver/trainer Nicolas Ensch and 2.4/1 odds Eden Basque (9g Singalo) was third as he too overcame a 25-meter penalty for trainer Ensch amd reinsman Guillaume Lemoine.
