Two Gr II monte harness racing trotting tests were on stage Friday (June 2) evening at Paris-Vincennes.
The Prix Lavater (Etrier Q3 doe four-year olds, monte, purse 120,000€, 2700 meters) saw Jasper des Charmes (4m Kesaco Phedo-Une Toscane) score in 1.13.3kr and off as the 8/10 odds favorite; Jean Michel Bazire trains this winner for Ecurie des Charmes and Eric Raffin was the jockey. This was Jasper’s third career win now for 170,750€ earned.
The 14/1 longshort d’Adore (4f Goetmals Wood-Rangelie) was a very distant second with Alexis Collette in the irons for trainer Pierre Belloche. Jellyson (4m Timoko-Deiizig d’Odyssee) landed third with Adrien Lamy up for trainer Alexandre Pillon.
Between the groupe events was the Prix Pythia (purse 75,000€, 2850 meters for European 6–10-year-olds) and the 1.4/1 punters’ choice Oracle Tile (7m Ready Cash-Exotpc Sund) scored in 1.12.9kr for reinsman Theo Duvaldestin. This Thierry Duvaldestin trainer trottuer is owned by Stall Ready To Win and Oracle Tile recorded his fifth win in France and advanced his life earnings to 415,347€.
The 21/1 odds Al Capone Stecca (7m Napoleon Bar-Ombretta Bar) was second with Gabriele Gelormini driving for trainer Fabrice Souloy with third to 28/1 Equinoxe Jiel (9g Rancho Gede-Themis Jiel) and pilot Francois Lagadeuc for trainer J.L. Dersoir.
In the final groupe II test, the Prix Victor Cavey (Etrier Q3 monte for five-year-olds, Gr. II purse 120,000€, 2700 meters) the 13/1 outsider Ivrig Viking (6m Rocklyn-Tounae du Biwetz) gained the lead when Yes We Kan went offstride in the lane and carried on to win in 1.13.3kr.
Didier Brohier trains, owns and bred the now four-time winner of 182,360€ and Joann Lebourgeois was the winning jockey.
Ina du Rib (5f Uhlan du Val-Tina du Rib) sat the pocket and finished second with J.L.Cl. Dersoir in the irons for Ecurie Rib and trainer Joel Hallais. Third to the line was 43/1 Inbreed (5m Neutron du Cebe-Miss Wood) handled by Alexis Collette, the jockey for trainer Remy Despres.
