Je Reve du Bois wins Prix Charley Mills

The 6.4/1 odds Je Reve du Bois (6g Reve de Beylev-Ballerine du Bois) held gamely in a pack of rivals to win the Prix Charley Mills (purse 75,000€, 2700 meters, 12 European starters ages 6-11) at Paris-Vincennes.

Anthony Barrier reined the C.M. Bruneau trainee for owner Vincent Marc-Martin to his 10th career victory in 47 starts now for 362,425€. Gims du Plessis (9g Quaker Jet) was a closing second at 6.2/1 with Matthieu Abrivard teaming the Philippe Bouton trainee for Philippe Rouliere. Third was the 1.7/1 odds favorite Colbert WF (7m Varenne-Trendy WF-Muscle Hill) with Eric Raffin teaming the H.E. Bondo trainee that Scuderia My Horse Srl owns.

On the undercard was the Prix Lilius (monte, purse 60,000€, 2700 meters, eight European starters ages 4-5) and 3.4/1 odds Just A Lady (5f SJs Photo-Global Lady-Angus Hall-I Dream The Dream-Victory Dream) scored impressively in 1.15.2kr for her third win in five starts in France. She has earned 188,815€ for owner Rikard Aanonsen. Mathieu Mottier was the winning jockey for trainer Thierry Duvaldestin. Second was 4.8/1 Katline Mourotaise (5f Prince Gede-Anoline Mourotaise) with Alexandre Abrivard up for A.P. Grimault and owner Emilien Roulline. The 3.8/1 Lasko des Brousses (4g Quaker Jet) was third for Eric Raffin, trainer Jocelyn Robert and owner Sandrine Robert.

In the USA Kentucky Selected Yearling Sale concluded with gross sales of USD60,891,000, an average of 68,417€ with 890 lost sold. The total sale was fourth best in history buy down modestly from last year.
