Jean Balthazar Takes Gr. I Prix des Centaures

In today’s Paris-Vincennes co-featured Prix des Centaures (monte Gr. I, purse 240,000€, 2700 meters, 12 starters ages 4-6 females) Jean Balthazar (6m Alto de Viette-Dynamite des Vaux) returned to form with this 1.10.6kr timed victory at 4/1 odds.

Guillaume Martin was the winning jockey for owner Sandrine Loncke and trainer Pascal Castel. Jean Balthazar won for the 10th time in 48 career starts now for 928,720€ earned. The 5.8/1 odds Jeegha Pride (6f Charly du Noyer) was a distant second with Alexandre Abrivard aboard the Thierry Duvaldestin trainee that Catherine Richard owns.

Third was 51/1 Kapaula des L’Epine (5f Discours Joyeux) with Adrien Loamy the jockey for trainer J.G. Van Eeckhaute. Kalif Landia (5m Un Charme Fou) at 2.9/1 odds was fourth ahead of 4.8/1 June (6f Booster Winner), 2.7/1 Kyt Kat (5m Booster Winner) and 15/1 Kerry Love (5f Brillantissime) that completes the first seven.

Finally today, the Prix du Plateau de Gravelle (Gr. III International, purse 90,000€, 2700 meters, 10 starters ages 4-11) saw 9/10 odds favorite Inexess Bleu (7g Vittel de Brevol-Pearl Of Charm) victorious in 1.13.3kr with Alexandre Abrivard driving.

This Michel Gallier bred and owner trotteur is trained by L.C. Abrivard and Bleu now shows 18 career wins in 46 starts for 723,280€ earned.

The veteran Face Time (10g Coktail Jet) was second at 9/1 odds with Matthieu Abrivard the driver/trainer for JPB Horses. East Asia (5f Ready Cash-Elvezia) was third at 1.7/1 odds with trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro driving for owner Jean Pierre Barjon.
