Josh Power… the Powerful in Bretagne!!!

Today’s Amerique Races Q1, the Prix de Bretagne(Gr II International, purse 120,000€, 2700 meters, 18 starters) saw 9/1 Josh Power (6m Offshore Dream-Balginette-Hasting) take a first up charge in  the final turn to take a commanding  lead from pacesetter Just Love You that prevailed to the line for a  1.11.2kr timed victory.

Off at 9/1 odds the Ecurie BG Trot owned trotteur was driven by trainer Sebastien Ernaultto  his seventh career win now for 908,570€ earned. The 5/10 odds favorite Jushua Tree (6m Bold Eagle-Ma Sissi  James-Buvetier d’Aunou) raced near the leaders and gained 1second for Jean Michel Bazire, Ecurie Olmenhof and trainer Nicolas Bazire.

The 37/1 Borups Victory (7m Googoo Gaagaa-Borups Julia) ralled late for third driven by trainer Daniel Wajersten for Stall Droad AB. J’Aime le Foot (6m Boccador de Simm-Elegante le Foot) was fourth at 203/1 odds the trainer Antoine L’Herete followed by 24/1 Iguski Sautonne (7m Village Mystic-Sara  Sautonne) for trainer/driver Matthieu Abrivard. 

Hokkaido Jiel and  Justin Bold completed the top seven.

In the Prix de Bossy Saint Leger (Gr III, purse 80,000€, 2100 meters autostart, European 4-5  year olds) the 25/1 Karaka Wood (5g Fabulous Wood-Flo Wood-Singalo) scored easily in 1.10.2kr with Franck Nivard up for trainer Charles Antoine Mary and owner Sandy Baptender.

The Jean Pierre Dubois bred mare won for the 12th time and has earned 284.560€. Keen Winner (5f Ready Cash-Darling de Roux) was second at 21/1 odds for Anthony Barrier, Ecurie Winner and trainer Thibault Lamare. The 61/1 Every Time Winner (5g Face Time Bourbon-Ungold Winner) was third for driver Benjamin Rochard, trainer H.E. Bondo and Equos Racing Team Srl. Lord du Gers (4f Face Time Bourbon) at 6/10 favorite odds and 24/1 Eleonora Grif (5f Face Time Bourbon) completed the top five.
