Joviality victorious again in Sweden

An exceptional trotting card was on stage this day at Solvalla Racecourse. Race summaries of the top flight harness racing events are shown below.

In the program’s co-featured Prix Diana Zet (34,520€ to the winner, 2140 meters autostart) the 1.4/1 Joviality (4f Chapter Seven-Pasithea Face-Muscle Hill) scored easily in 1.11.0kr to bring her career slate to 23-5-2 in 32 appearances. Erik Adielsson reined the winner for trainer Sabine Kagebrant and owner Stall Courant AB. Decision Maker (4f Nuncio-Full Authority-Scarlet Knight) was second at 32.6/1 odds with Carl Johan Jepson driving the Stefan Melander trained and Stall TZ owned mare. Queen Belina (4f Nuncio-First Love Boko-Muscles Yankee) took third at 9.7/1 with Bjorn Goop her pilot for trainer Jorgen Westholm.

Joviality winning at Solvalla

Everything Bi (3m Varenne-Las Brisas Bi-Toss Out) took this day’s Breeders Course Second Final for three year olds (6,630€ first prize, 1640 meters autostart) clocked in 1.12.0kr with trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro aboard for breeder/owner Aj.Agr. Biasuzzi. Off at 7/1 odds the winner won for the fifth time in 12 career starts. He defeated 2.1/1 Eroc Jet (3m Maharajah-Nocciolaia Jet-Pine Chip) reined by Magnus A. Djuse for trainer Gocciadoro. The 2.8/1 Yin Yang (3g Bold Eagle-Lobell Countess-Abano As) landed third for pilot Robin Bakker and trainer Paul Hagoort.

Everything Bi after the win

In the Icelands Lopp STL Gold (12,945€ to the winner, 2140 meters autostart) the 2.8/1 odds well-respected Italian-bred Charmant de Zack (5m Vivid Wise As-Martina Grif-Varenne) scored in 1.11.1kr for trainer/driver Alessandro Gocciadoro and owner Comiantale SAS di Siddi Giacomo. He won for the 11th time in 39 career starts. Power Doc (5m Muscle Massive0Ulrika Karsk-Kid Blue) was a distant second at 6.2/1 odds for owner/trainer/driver Ake Lindblom.  Ikaros Sisu (5m Googoo Gaagaa-Sweet Alabama-Conway Hall) was home third with Magnus A. Djuse aboard for trainer Timo Nurmos.

Charmant De Zack and connections

In the Itaka Sunds Lopp STL Diamantstoet (purse to winner 9.493€, 2140 meters for mares) the 2.1/1 odds favorite Faeza Zet (5f Ken Warkentin-Marsia LB-Windsongs Legacy) won timed in 1.11.5kr for legendary reinsman Orjan Kihlstrom. Daniel Reden trains the winner for Stall Zet as she recorded victory number 10 in 18 career outings. Celiaz (5f Varenne-Ofeliaz-Love You) was second for trainer/driver Alessandro Gocciadoro at 3.1/1 odds. Ivanka Amok (6f Zola Boko-Olympia Amok-Coktail Jet) was third at 5.3/1 with Jorma Kontio teaming the Timo Nurmos trainee.

There was still more solid trots action on the undercard, not really an undercard. In the Runa Sandbergs Lopp (9,493€ to the winner, 2140 meters autostart, the STL Bronze) the 1.7/1 odds favorite Imperatur AM (5m Ready Cash-Princess Face-Muscle Hill) scored in 1.12.2kr. Magnus Teien Gundersen teamed this Geir Vegard Gundersen trasinee for Stall Courant AB. This winner now has a 10-2-1 slate in 14 career starts. Second home was 7.3/1 Lozano di Quattro (5g Trixton-Outlook Kronos-Cantab Hall) for Tobias J. Gustafsson with third to Kronos Degli Dei (5m Ready Cash-Natalina Dei-Uronometro) for trainer/driver Gocciadoro.

The feature race of the day was the finale, the Prix Ready Cash (51,780€ to the winner, 2140 meters autostart). Here the 22.3/1 outsider Staro Mack Crowe (4m Bold Eagle-Giant Crowe-Gigant Neo) raced first up and drew away in the lane for the 1.11.7kr timed victory. Rikard N. Skoglund teamed the winner for trainer Katja Meikko as he advanced his slate to 3-5-2 in 16 career appearances. Thereisnolimit (4m Nuncio-What’s Your Limit-Credit Winner) rallied late for second with Ulf Ohlsson aboard for trainer Stefan Melander. Stablemate 7.6/1 odds Following (4m Nuncio-Tweet Hanover-Cantab Hall) was third on the pegs after setting the pace with Bjorn Goop aboard for Stefan Melander. The 2.2/1 choice Greensboro Zet mas a three wide charge at the halfway park and eventually faded to ninth.
