Jean Pierre Dubois is back in the harness racing bike at age 84 and he was victorious at Cabourg, France (August 13 Prix des Soucis, purse 18,000€, 2050 meters autostart for two-year-olds) with 2.6/1 odds Modesto (2m Fabulous Wood-Alisma du Corta-Love You).
He bred this youngster that Dariusz Czerwinski trains for Ecurie des Mouettes and this was his first victory in two outings. Race time was 1.16.9kr. JPD has 1,428 wins as a driver in France from 7,095 appearances. He has 2,618 wins as a breeder.
Mambo Thoris (2m Jam Pridem) was second at 22/1 for Jules Leroulleq the driver/trainer/owner. The 4/1 Make A Wish (2m Fabulous Wood-Arca des Jacquets-Prodigious) was third for owner/trainer/driver Julien Dubois.

The JPD team was back a winner on August 15 at Meslay du Maine in the Prix Algina (purse 20,000€, 2875 meters, 10 starters three-year-olds) as 7.2/1 Look Rebel (3m Fabulous Wood-Rebelle-Defi d’Aunou-Island Dream) scored timed in 1.16.5kr for his second career victory in four starts.
Gabriele Gelormini teamed the winner for Ecurie des Mouettes, trainer Henrik Hollsten and breeder JPD. This is a grand looking youngster. The sire Fabulous Wood is a nine-year-old stallion by Ready Cash-Qualita Bourbon, the dam being the last JPD competitor in the Prix d’Amerique.
