Two Gr. III harness racing tests were on the stage at Paris-Vincennes Friday evening.
The first was the Prix Caecilia (purse 70,000€, 2700 meters for European four year olds) and the 1.13.1kr timed winner was the 4/10 favorite Jushua Tree (4m Bold Eagle-Ma Sissi James) reined by trainer Jean Michel Bazire. The Ecurie Olmenhof owner performer scored his eighth career victory now for 169,150€ earned. Jablonski (4m Gazouillis-Uanage) was second for Romain Congard, trainer JMB and owner Alexandre Skowronski. This 9/1 odds trotteur bested third finishing 25.1 Jaguiar du Goutier (4m Ready Cash-Ariane du Goutier) reined by trainer Damien Bonne for Ecurie Saint Martin.
The Gr. III Prix Jean Riaud (purse 90,000€, 2850 meters for International 5-10 year olds) brought out a solid field of fast class trotteurs. The victory went to 1.5/1 favorite Idao de Tillard (5m Severino-America de Tillard) timed in 1.12.3kr.
Clement Duvaldestin reined the now 20 time career winner of 961,430€ to the front and he held on gamely for the win for trainer Thierry Duvaldestin and owner Cyril Sevestre. The 2.4/1 Hokkaido Jiel (6m Brillantissime-Victory Jiel) was a just missed second for driver David Thomain, trainer J.L. Dersoir and owner Ecurie Luck. Third to the line was 8.8/1 Capital Mail (5m Nad El Sheba-Unicona Golden) with Gabriele Gelormini aboard for trainer Fabrice Souloy. Elvis du Vallon was fourth at 33/1 for Joann Lebourgeois and fifth money went to 13/1 Cash Bank Bigi with Franck Nivard at the lines.
