Jushua Tree wins as winter meet begins

The Vincennes Winter Meet began this day with the featured Prix de Cevennes (Gr III, purse 90,000€, 2850 meters, 12 European starters ages 6-10) where 1.6/1 odds Jushua Tree (6m Bold Eagle-Ma Sissi James-Buvetier d’Aunou) returned to victory lane with a 1.11.7kr timed victory.

Jean Michel Bazire teamed this 21 time winner in 30 starts  for Ecurie Olmenhof, trainer Nicolas Bazire and breeder Hugues Rossseau. Jushua Tree powered to the lead in upper stretch  and drew away despite bearing out late. Home second was10/1 odds Ino du Lupin (7g Scipion du  Goutier-Tina d’Hermes) with Antoine Wiels driving for Jean Paul Marmion the owner/trainer/breeder. Izoard Vedaquais (7m Bird Parker-Dokha Vedaquaise) at 2.5/1 odds was  third for  driver  Benjamin Rochard, owner/trainer Philippe Allaire and breeder J.P. Guay.

The 4.9/1 Josh  Power (6m Offshore Dream-Balginette) rallied for  fourth  with trainer Sebastien Ernault driving for Ecurie BG Trot. Horchestro (8g Sam Bourbon-Alisma  du Corta) ended fifth with Matthieu Abrivard aboard.

On the undercard was the Prix de Soulac (purse 68,000€, 2700 meters, 14 European starters ages 7-10)  where 32/1odds Power Doc (7m Muscle Massive-Ulrika Karsk) scored impressively timed in 1.12.6kr for reinsman Franck Ouvrie.

Stable Ake Lindblom AM owns this M.B, Svedberg trainee that has won three of four starts in France while advancing career earnings to 273,893€.

Power Doc

The 4.2/1 odds Implora Mauzun (7f Django Riff-Adeline Mauzun-Love You) was next for driver Jean Michel Bazire, trainer J.P. Ducher and owner Adeline De Senneville. The 14/1 odds  Ialto d’Hertals (7g Alto de  Viette-Sonate de Flore-Derby  du Gite) was third driven by Theo Duvaldestin, Stal d’Atom  and trainer Thierry Duvaldestin.
