Just A Gigolo holds on for 200,000€ win

A day of groupe events at Paris-Vincennes was led by the Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson/Criterium des Jeunes (Gr. I, purse 200,000€, 2700 meters for three year olds) where the 1.6/1 Just A Gigolo (3m Boccador de Simm-Blue Valentine) scored in 1.14.5kr. Franck Nivard teamed this Philippe Allaire bred/owned/trained colt. This was his seventh career victory now for 264,750€ earned. His chief rival, the 3,2/1 Jazzy Perrine (3f Django Riff-Trendy Perrine) closed with high speed to be second for Eric Raffin, trainer Tomas Malmqvist and Ecurie Hunter Valley. Joke (3f Dollar Macker-Pardinia) was third with Gebriele Gelormini up for J.M. Baudouin.

JUST A GIGOLO REPLAY

In the Prix d’Orthez (Gr. III, purse 90,000€, 2850 meters for European four year olds) Cresus di Poggio (4m Muscle Hill-Oui di Poggio) scored for Jean Michel Bazire at 1.5/1 odds. Scuderia Mistero owns this three time winner of 105,600€. 6.4/1 Inmarosa (4f Amiral Sacha) took second for Leo Abrivard and trainer L.C. Abrivard. 8.4/1 Instant d’Am (4m Bold Eagle) was third for Gabriele Gelormini and trainer H.E. Bondo.

Earlier the Gr. III Prix du Pontavice de Heussey (purse 90,000€, monte 2175 meters for European 6-11 year olds) went to Diamant de Treabat (9g Kuadro Wild-Sud Africa) in a fast 1.10.4kr. Clement Frcelle was the winning jockey for owner/trainer Pascal Monthule). Freeman de Houelle (7m Vigove) was second for Eric Raffin and trainer Franck Leblanc. Chalimar de Guez (10g Nahar de Beval) was third with J.Y. Ricart up for trainer Jean Michel Bazire.
