Kamehameha takes Grand National du Trot

The 2.3/1 odds Kamehameha (5m Uniclove-Vivolta Jet-Quatre Juillet)  captured  the 12th leg of the Grand National du Trot (Gr III, purse 90,000€, 3000 meters distance handicap.16 starters  ages 5-10) at Nantes timed in 1.12.4kr.

EricRaffin teamed the winner that Ecurie Hunter Valley owns and bred and Antoine L’herete trains.   He now sports 335,500€ earned from five career wins. Hold  Up du Digeon  (8g Bold Eagle-Salsa du Digeon-Insert Gede) was second at 34/1 with Franck Nivard up for owner/trainer Thierry Raffegeau. Indy de  Jyr  (7g Theo Josselyn-Sidonie-Hand du Vivier) was third at the even-money favorite as he overcame a 25 meter handicap for driver Benjamin Rochard, trainer Marc Sassier and Ecurie JYR. Hamonet de Choisel (8g Vittel de Brevol) was fourth at12/1 odds followed by 15/1 and 25 meter penalized Greco Bello (9g Un Mec d’Heripre).

Yesterday at Paris-Vincennes the Prix d’Arcachon (purse 75,000€, 2100 meters autostart,10  starters ages 7-10) went to 3.7/1 odds In  Red  (7g Carat Williams-Belisise) timed in  1.11.3kr with Gabriele Gelormini aboard.

Alain Chavatte trains this 11 time winner of 352,550€ for Patrice  Foubet. Hurricane Carter (8g Niky) was a close second at 5/1 odds for Yoann Lebourgeois and Severine Raimond the trainer/owner/breeder.  Isofou du Chene (7g Un CharmeFou) was third at 16/1 driven by Paul Philippe Ploquin for trainer Julien Le Mer and owner Yvonne Guedj. The 1.7/1  odds favorite Harrison du Plessis was fourth with Eric Raffin aboard.
