Kana de Beylev Wins Gr. II Prix Henri Levesque

Today’s groupe laden race harness racing card (four Gr. II tests) at Paris-Vincennes saw the Gr. II Prix Henri Levesque (purse 120,000€, 2700 meters, 15 five year old starters) go to 4.8/1 odds  Kana de Beylev (5f Express Jet-Dina de Beylev) with Benjamin Rochard driving for trainer William Bigeon, Joel Seche owns this 10 time winner in 36 starts for 841,400€/ Race time was 1.12.9.

Driver Rochard this week passed the 1,000 driving wins mark. The 9/1 Kavalad Padd (5f Look de  Star-Damoiselle dePrad) rallied for second with Alexandre Abrivard piloting the L.C. Abrivard trainee for owner Philippe Davin. Koutra Iris’eyes (5f Un Charme Fou) was third for reinsman Matthieu Abrivard at 52/1 for this J.M. Chaineux trained and Daniel Flamme owned performer.

Kyrielle (5f Enino du Pommereux) was fourth at 19/1 and 25/1 Keen Winner (5f Ready Cash) took fifth money at 25/1 odds.

The undercard-not, Prix Robert Auvracy (Gr. II, purse 120,000€, 2700 meters, five year old males) saw 3.2/1 odds Kanto Avis (5f Ready Cash-Ter Avis) score in 1.11.7kr with Benjamin Rochard piloting the Marc Sassier trainee for Ecurie Dub’s the owner/breeder.

The winner now sports seven career wins in 32 starts for 403,650€. Second home was 21/1 Kobayashi (5m Face Time Bourbon-Come On Jet) with Mathieu Mottier handling the Ecurie Hunter Valley bred and owner performer that Bastien Michardiere trains.

Koctel du Dain (5m Boiccador de Simm-Ophelie) landed third as the 1.6/1 odds favorite with David Thomain handling the Philippe Allaire owned and trained trotteur. Kyoto Digeo (5m Clif du Pommereux-Tzarine de Ginai) was fourth at 52/1 driven by L.M. David also the trainer/owner.

Aged trotteurs then contested the Prix de La Lorraine (purse 75,000€,2100 meters autostart, 12 European starters ages 7-11) and 1.7/1 odds favorite Cobra Killer Gar (7g Readly Express-Lady Killer Gar) scored timed in 1.11.2kr with Gabriele Gelormini aboard.

This H.E.  Bondo trainee is owned by Incolnix di Diego Romeo) and he now has earned 393,541€ from 12 wins in France from 18 outings. The 2.8/1 Isofou du Chene (7g Un Charme Fou-Alise du Chene) earned second with Paul Philippe Ploquin driving for trainer Julien Le Mer and owner Yvonne Guedj.

The 48/1 odds outsider Ibiscus Man (7g Booster Winner0Cathy Woman) captured third for trainer/driver Romain Christian Larue and owner Daniel Larue. The 27/1 Self Explosive (10g Explosive Matter) and 12/1 Toto Barosso (8g Ready Cash) completed the top five finishers.

The Gr. II monte Prix Hemine – Etrieer 3 Ans Q4 (purse120,000€, 2175 meters, 11 starters  three year old females) resulted in a very close victory for 4/1 odds Misty Green (3f Love You-Greenpeace) ridden by jockey Eric Raffin for owner Joel Seche and trainer William Bigeon. Ecurie Hunter Valley bred this winner that now posts four career wins in nine starts for 221,025€.

The 8/10 odds favorite Masina  de Tillard (3f Face Time Bourbon-Toison de Tillard) captured second money with a late rush with Mathieu Mottier in the irons for Ecurie Hazelaar and trainer Thierry Duvaldestin.

Mademoizelle Jane (3f Ready Cash-Angelica) landed third with Adrien Lamy aboard the Clement Thomain trainee that Ecurie des Charmes owns. Maritas de Truchon (3f Etonnant) was fourth at 16/1 with Anthony Barrier the jockey for breeder/owner/trainer Richard Westerink. Fifth to the line was 11/1 Mississ de Guex (3f Uzo Josselyn) for jockey Alexandre Abrivard, trainer Nicolas Bazire and Ecurie Vautors.

The Gr. II Prix  Gai Brillant –  Etrier  3  Ans Q3 (purse120,000€, 2175 meters,  eight three year old males) saw 7/10 odds favorite Meteore de Simm (3m Boccador de Simm-Apres La Plume) scored timed in 1.14.4kr.

He was piloted by jockey and trainer Mathieu Mottier and owner Jose Davet as she scored for the fourth time in seven lifetime starts now for 213,475€.  Second home was 4.8/1 odds Matignon (3m Bird Parker-Utica) with jockey Alexandre Abrivard in the irons for owner Yannick Alain Briand and trainer Yohann Haret. The 4/1 Messi Pass (3m Galius-Salsa  Darche) finished third with jockey Eric Raffin up  for trainer A.P. Grimault and owner Philippe  Savinel.

The 66/1 odds outsider Mentalist AR (3m Frisbee d’Am)landed fourth  for jockey Louis Jublot and owner/trainer Richard Westerink. Mindelo (3m Helgafell) was fifth  at 20/1 with Adrien Lamy up for breeder/owner/trainer Louis Baudron.

Next up tomorrow is leg  2 of the Trophee Vert series this leg at Tours Chambray.

Then on April 19 will be the prestigious Prix de L’Atlantique at Enghien-Soisy. It will  be special.
