Katinka du Mouchel wins Gr. II Prix Guy Deloison

The Prix Guy Deloison (Gr. II SWC Qual 1 $ Ans for current three-year old fillies, purse 120,000€, 2700 meters voltstart, 15 starters) produced a close three horse photo that went to 19/1 odds Katinka du Mouchel (3f Prodigious-Rikita du Mouchel) reined by Clement Duvaldestin.

This was her sixth career victory in 10 appearances for trainer Thierry Duvaldestin and owner Philippe Beauvisage.  The 1.2/1 favorite Kana de Beylev (3f Express Jet) was a close second for Benjamin Rochard, trainer William Bigeon and owner Joel Seche. Duvaldestin was back for third with Kalmia Perrine (3f Django Riff) that other driving son Theo Duvaldestin teamed for Courant AB. Kyriele and Rikita JP completed the top five.

In the Prix Pierre Plazer (Gr. II SWC 4 Ans Qualifier 2, 2700 meters voltstart, purse 120,000€, 11 starters all three-year old males) the 8/10 odds favorite Koctel du Dain (3m Boccador de Simm-Ophelie-First de Retz) rolled on the front and looked to be handy until the final strides. David Thomain teamed this winner for trainer/owner Pierre Allaire as Koctel secured his 10th career win in 16 starts fir 660,750€ earned. Race time was 1.13.6kr for the colt bred by Regis Merlet. The 20/1 Kobayashi (3m Face Time Bourbon-Come On Jet-Goetmals Wood) was a fats closing second for Franck Nivard driving for trainer Tomas Malmqvist and owner/breeder Ecurie Hunter Valley). Third was 8.5/2 Krack Time Atout (3m Face Time Bourbon-Topaze Atout-Coktail Jet) with Paul Philippe Ploquin driving for trainer Sebastian Guarato and owner Philippe Barre.]

Koctel du Dain

The final groupe test this day was the Gr. III Prix 20 Minutes (purse 80,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 15 Europeans ages 4-5) and 8.9/1 Charmy Charly As (5g Charly du Noyer-Xea Venus) scored from the clouds timed in 1.11.8kr for pilot Francois Lagadeuc, trainer H.E. Bondo and Scuderia A&S 2003. Charly won for the third time in 10 starts in FR and advanced his earnings to 235,894€.  Ideal du Rocher (5g Clif du Pommeraux) was second at 4.8/1 odds for trainer/driver/owner Charly Mottier. Inshot Josselyn (5g Carat Williams) was third at 13/1 with Paul Philippe Ploquin driving for Sebastian Guarato and Scuderia Bivans Srl.
