Keengame, Headscott win at Vincennes

Five top flight trots were on stage this day at Paris-Vincennes. Action commenced with the Prix Vourasie (Gr III, purse 60,000€, 2200 meters, 10 two year old fillies) where 9/1 odds Nacre du Monthieux (2f Ready Cash-Escalade-Love You) scored  with Clement Duvaldestin up timed in 1.15.6kr.

EcurieW Racing Trot owns the Thierry Duvaldestin trainee that now has three wins in as many starts for 46,575€. Nayara (2f Village  Mystic-IOde Nappes) was second  at 8.4/1 odds for Eric Raffin, conditioner Sebastien Guarato and owner Mauricette De Sousa. Nucive du Choquel (2f Face Time Bourbon-Emore Cruz) at 13/1 was third for Benjanim Rochard, trainer Nicolas Bridault and owner Ecurie Ch. Bridault.

The Prix Timoko (Gr III, purse 60,000, 2200 meters, nine two year old male starters) saw 39/1 odds outsider Nelson de Busset (2m Gotland-Tenareze) score in 1.16.3kr with P-Y Verva driving the Bruno Bourgoin trainee owned by Michel Agostini. This was his first career victory in seven starts now for 57,640€ earned. The 4/1 Nat King Cole (2m  Ready Cash-Deep Purple) was second in the three pack to the line with David Thomain up for Philippe Allaire the trainer/owner/breeder. Nobel Venesi (2m Hohneck-Eloise  Venesi) took third at 17/1 with the big rally engineered  by Paul Philippe Ploquin for trainer Nicolas Bridault and owner Philippe Thirionet.

Keengame (5f Express Jet-Red Bell-Jag de Bellouet) won the Prix Joseph Lafosse (monte Gr II, purse 120,000€, 2700 meters, eight five yeae old starters) in 1.13.4kr albeit she veered right in the lane.

The 2.3/1 odds second choice had Anthony Barrier the jockey for trainer J.P. Monclin and Ecurie Hunter Valley and she now posts 10 career wins in 30 starts for 422,135€. The 2.1/1 odds favorite Kid Bellay  (5m Goetmals Wood-Augusta) was a rallying second for Eric Raffin, trainer J.M. Baudouin and Ecurie du Harasd’Erable followed by 6.9/1 Kelly de Banville (5f Eridan-Bartavelle du Rib) with Paul Philippe Ploquin in the irons for Stephane Bourlier and ownerYoland Fournier.

Headscott (8g Village Mystic-Terra Scotia) captured the Prix Daniel Miette (purse75,000€, 2700 meters, 16 starters ages 7-10) with Anthony Barrier driving for trainer Alain Chavatte and owner Louis Chauviere.

The winner, sent off at 24/1 odds, now has 15 career victories in 52 starts for 366,120€. Home second was 1.8/1 favorite Iroise de la  Noe (7f Tornado Bello-Pollenza  de la Noe) with Robin  Lamy up for Thomas Levesque the trainer/owner. In Red (7g Carat Williams-Belisise des Gires) landed third at 5/1  odds for driver Jean Michel Bazire and conditioner Alain Chavatte for Patrice Foubet the owner.

L’As  Desbois (4m Booster Winner-Doria Desbois) secured victory  in the Prix de  Chenonceaux (Gr III, purse  80,000€, 10 European starters ages 4-5,  2700 meters). Matthieu Abrivard teamed  this William Bigeon trainee for Joel Seche as he won for the seventh time in 27 starts for 262,565€.

Race time was 1.12.6kr for the 5.9/1 odds winner that now has won two straight.The 1.2/1 odds  favorite Karambar (5g Dollar Macker-Badames) landed second with Alexandre Abrivard handling the L.C. Abrivard trainee for owner Halima Karrouchi. Icebreaker (5m Chocolatier-Swiss Watch)  was third at 4.3/1 driven by  Eric Raffin for trainer  Mattias Djuse and G.S. Syvaldsen. Learn To Fly (4m Uriel Speed-Santanna Girl) was fourth at 11/1 driven by Paul Philippe Ploquin.

Sad news is that Idao de Tillard successfully had colic surgery early this week  and is back home at  Ecurie Duvaldestin  with Susanne Ohme  his excellent caretaker.

He will not be rehabbed in time  to return to the Amerique Prize.
