Koctel du Dain dominates in Prix de Croix

Today’s Paris-Vincennes featured Prix de Croix (Gr.II International, purse 120,000€, 2850 meters, five year olds) saw 2.1/1 odds favorite Koctel du Dain (5m Boccador de Simm-Ophelie) dominate with a coast to coast victory timed in 1.12.7kr.

David Thomain reined the14 time winner in 32 starts for owner/trainer Philippe Allaire. This Regis Merlet bred winner now has earned 1,017,550€ in his career. The 88/1 odds outsider Immortal Doc (5m Brillantissime-Nikita Broline) emerged from the pack to earn second for driver Paul Philippe  Ploquin and owner/trainer Fredrik Wallin followed by 11/1 Kokote (5m Ready Cash-Private Love) with trainer Mathieu Mottier driving for owner/breeder Jean Pierre Barjon.

The four horses that followed these were all sons of Ready Cash. Keenan de Joudes (5m Ready Cash-Brianna de Joudes) was fourth at 7.2/1 odds with Jean Philippe Monclin the driver/trainer for Ecurie Morel and he was followed by 6.5/1 Kanto Avis with Benjamin Rochard, 4.4/1 Khal’s Fella with Franck Nivard up and 124/1 King Opera handled by Willian Bigeon.
