Ksar wins Gr. III Prix Leopold Verroken

Ksar (3m Follow You-Tes Amours-Goetmals Wood) took today’s Gr. III Prix Leopold Verroken (purse 60,000€, 2100 meters autostart, three year olds) at Vincennes, off at 4.4/1 odds with harness racing driver Matthieu Abrivard aboard.

This 470,000€ purchase at the Amerique Arqana-Trot Vincennes Sale by trainer Emmanuel Varin scored easily moving from third at top stretch to win in 1.13.4kr (fractions 1.11.1kr at the 1500 meters to go mark; 1.12.0kr at the 1000; 1.14.2kr with 500 meters remaining).

This was Ksar’s third win in a row and he now has a 3-2-1 sale in seven starts for 80,930€ earned. Jean Pierre Dubois bred and developed this colt with his team. The sire Follow You is a son of Ready Cash from Mara Bourbon. The 57/1 outsider Koncord Delo (3m Dreamer Delo-Scarlet Lady) was second for Guillermo Roig-Balaguer.
