8-1 mild longshot takes 120,000€ monte Group II test

Kyt Kat (4m Booster Winner-Diane de Brevol) recovered after three off the board efforts to rally to victory today (April 26) in the monte Gr. II Prix Rene Palyart at Paris-Vincennes (purse 120,000€, 2175 meters, nine starters in the Entrier 4 Ans Q1). Timed in a quick 1.11.1kr.

The 8.1/1 odds winner was ridden by Mathieu Mottier for trainer Thomas Levesque and Ecurie d’Pommiers. Kyt Kat now has recorded seven career wins in 14 starts for 348,050€ earned. Kapula de L’Epine (4f Discours Joyeux-Paula Jim) was second at 16/1 with Adrien Lamy in the irons for owner/trainer J.G. Van Eeckhaute. Third was 9/10 favorite Kyrielle des Vaux (4f Rolling d’Heripre-Noisette des Vaux) with jockey Guillaume Lenain for trainer Charley Mottier and owner Dominique Gallievine.

In the cp-feature this afternoon at Vincennes the 3.3/1 odds Jeroboam d’Erable (5m Prodigious-Amiraute) took the Gr. II Prix Louis Forcinal Etrier 5 Ans Q1 (monte, purse 120.000€, 2850 meters, 10 starters) timed in 1.13.8kr.

Damien Bonne was the winning jocley for trainer Charley Thomain and Ecurie du Haras d’Erable the owner. This was the winner’s third career victory and advanced his earnings to 221,890€.

The 8.7/1 June (5f Booster Winner-Cenora) was second for trainer/jockey Mathieu Mottier and Ecurie D.M. Mottier. The 7/1 Jessy de Banville (5f Boccador de Simm) was third with Florian Desmigneux in the irons.

On April 28 at Fougeres is the Trophee Vert series that day named the Grand Prix de Trot Ville de Fougeres. 16 trotteurs will be at the start on the turf going 3200 meters distance handicapped for the 50,000€ purse.

The 2024 Tour Europeen Trotteur Francais was announced. There will be five legs and a finale that will begin on August 8 at Mons and concludes on October 16 at that same venue. Other stops will be at Wolvega, Avencges, Mallorca and Gelsenkirchen. Cash du Rin was the equine winner in 2023.
