200,000€ Gr. I Prix d’Essai to Kyt Kat at Vincennes

Kyt Kat (3m Booster Winner-Diane de Brevol) surged to the lead off the last bend and drew clear to an easy 1.13.4kr harness racing victory in the Gr. I Prix d’Essai (Etrier three-year-old finale, monte, purse 200,000€, 2700 meters) at Vincennes, France today (June 25).

Off at 8/10 favorite odds the Thomas Levesque trainee was ridden by Mathieu Mottier for Ecurie des Pommiers. Kat secured his sixth career win now for 275,750€ earned.

The 14/1 Krafen (3m El Villagio-Vanilla Delight) was a game but distant second for Anthony Barrier and 53/1 Kelanie Lorraine (3f Eridan-Union Societe) was third with Paul Philippe Ploquin in the irons. Kaya Dream and Karina de Bomo completed the top five.

Earlier the Gr. III Prix Raymond Fouard (purse 80,000€, 2175 meters for four-year-olds) saw 1.2/1 Jushua 3Tree (4m Bold Eagle-Ma Sissi James) score easily in 1.10.4kr for trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire and Ecurie Olmenhof.

This was Jushua’s 10th career win now for 259,150€ earned. The 9/1 Jack Tonic (4m Charly du Noyer) was second for Theo Duvaldestin and 12/1 Jazzy Perrine (4f Django Riff) was third for Eric Raffin. 51/1 Juninho Dry (4m Carat Williams) and 59/1 Justin Bold (4m Bold Eagle) completed the top five.
