Le Dollar Macker super at Vincennes

Le Dollar Macker (3m Saxo de Vandel-Salt Lake City-Insert Gede-La Star) won this third straight this day at Paris-Vincennes in the Prix de Florac (purse 46,000€, 2700 meters, 15 three year old starters).

Off at 1.5/1 odds (favorite) the 1.14.0kr timed winner was reined by Eric Raffin conditioner Sebastien Guarato for Gianni Fescella. This was his fifth win in eight career starts for 58,635€ earned. NV Hicewas bred the winner that showcases Jean Pierre Dubois’ classic Franco-American maternal family. Finishing second was 9/1 Lover Still (3m Bold Eagle-Fortaleza) with trainer Mathieu Mottier driving for Michael Soulas, with the 9/1 odds Lasko des Brousses (3m Quaker Jet-Osaka des Brousses) home third for Jean Michel Bazire, trainer Joselyn Robert and owner Sandrine Robert.

The winner’s dam has already produced Dollar Macker (731,810€ from nine wins in 22 starts), It’s A Dollarmaker (642,630€ with 16 wins in 35 starts) plus Cash Maker (299,920€) and Euro Maker (177,515€). The second dam is La Star and the La Star pedigree – is classic Jean Pierre Dubois.

On the great mid-week card the Prix Pierre Giffard (monte, purse 75,000€, 2850 meters, 10 European starters) produced a flashy finish with victory to 3/1 Gala d’Urfist (8g Un Chame Fou-Royale  d’Urfist) with jockey Adrien Lamy aboard for trainer Franck Leblanc and Ecurie d’Ycy. This 1.13.0kr timed winner now sports 17 victories in 81 career starts for 405,020€ earned.

Halfa (7f Offshore Dream-Ofara) at 2/1 favorite odds was second for jockey Alan Gendrot and owner/’trainer Stephane Levoy. Third was 6.6/1 Go Or Not (8g Hyperis-Quolie Picarde) with Mathieu Mottier in the irons for owner/trainer Alexandre Bonnefoy.

Finally the Prix des Iris (purse 38,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 10 two year old starters) highlighted promising youngsters and 13/1 Marquety de Bailly (2m Uniclove-Quokine de Chavot) prevailed with a fast closing 1.15.8kr timed victory. Matthieu Abrivard teamed the  winner for breeder/owner/trainer Bruno Bourgoin to his second win  in six starts for 46,095€ earned.

Major Vedaquais (2m Gorland-Dukha Vedaquaise) was second off at 7.3/1 odds with Yoann Lebourgois handling this Philippe Allaire  trained and owned colt. Magic Love (2m Ready Cash-Dalila Melody) the 1.4/1 favorite was third with Benjamin Rochard aboard for trainer Marc Sassier and owner Richard Cohen. Malandrino (2m Hohneck-Fast Lane) was fourth at 13/1 for breeder/owner/trainer/driver Julien Dubois.
