Liza Josselyn, Keep Going shine in Criteriums

Five Criterium qualifiers highlighted a great Paris-Vincennes card today. Keep Going and Liza Josselyn triumphed but the others were also sharp events.

Magic Love

The events began with the Prix J De Vauloge-Criterium 3 Ans  Q3  (Gr II, purse 120,000€, 2700 meters, 10 three year old  male starters) where 17/1 odds  Magic Love (3m Ready Cash-Delila  Melody) scored easily with a coast to coast victory timed in 1.13.5kr.  Benjamin Rochard teamed  the Marc Sassier trainee that Richard Cohen owns and he has three  wins in eight starts for 107,160€.  Mystic Sonato (3m Village Mystic) was second at  5.9/1 with Franck Nivard teaming  the Thierry Duvaldestin trainee that Tanguy de la Bourdonnaye owns. Third  home was 47/1  odds Magnum du Choquel (3m Hohneck) with  Francois Lagadeuc up for trainer Nicolas  Bridault. The 1.6/1 favorite Magic Man  (3m Prodigious) was fourth for driver Matthieu Abrivard.

The Prix Annick Dreux-Criterium 3 Ans Q4 (Gr II, purse 130,000€, 2700meters, 13 starters three year old females) was next with 3.4/1 odds Magic Night (3f Helgafell-Byblis du Goutier) the game narrow winner with Paul Pierre Ploquin handing the Pierre Allaire trainee for his wife Gitte Paulsen-Allaire.

The  winner now sports  five career wins in 15 appearances for 272,170€. Race time was 1.12.6kr. Mille Etoiles (3f Prodigious-Electra Green) was second as the  7/10 odds favorite with Jean Michel Bazire up for Scuderia Mistero Srl and trainer  Nicolas Bazire. Maya du  Surf (3f Easy des Racques)was home  third at 30/1 with Anthony Barrier aboard  for trainer Stephane  Prioul.

The five year  olds then  contested  the Prix Jockey (Gr II, purse 120,000€,  2700 meters, 10 five year olds at the start) with 13/1 odds Keep Going (5m Follow  You-Discovery  Bond) holding game to win timed in 1.12.5kr.

Trainer Mathieu Mottier teamed the  Jose Davet owned winner that recorded his 11th career win for 629,060€. Second was fast closing 2.8/1 odds  Krack Time Atout (5m Face Time Bourbon-Topaze Atout) with Franck Nivard aboard the Sebastien Guarato trainee that Philippe Barbe owns. King  Opera (5m Ready Cash) was third in a pack with trainer William Bigeon driving for Joel Seche at 18/1  followed by  fourth  finishing 1.6/1 odds favorite Kanto Avis (5m Ready Cash) with Benjamin  Rochard up  for conditioner Marc Sassier. Kana de Beylev (5f Express Jet) was  fifth at 15/1 with Eric Raffin driving,

Jean  Michel Bazire  won the Prix Gaston Brunet-Criterium 4 Ans Q3 (Gr II, purse 120,000€, 2700 meters, 11 starters four year olds) with 5/1 odds Lord du Gers  (4m  Face Time  Bourbon-Elle Vient  du Gers) timed  in 1.12.0kr.

J.M. Rancoule owns  the Nicolas Bazire trainee  that now shows six wins in  12 career starts for 206,760€. The even-money  Lancier  du  Goutier (4m Ready Cash-Elissi James)  was a neck  back with Theo Duvaldestin up for  Ecurie Saint  Martin and conditioner  Thierry Duvaldestin. Third was 7.3/1 odds  Live To  Tell (4m Fifty Kalouma) with Anthony Barrier up./

The Prix G de Wazieres-Criterium 4 AnsQ4 (Gr II, purse 120,000€, 2700 meters, 11 starters four year old females) saw 7/10  odds favorite Liza Josselyn (4f Ready Cash-Belina Josselyn) score timed in 1.12.1kr with a death seat performance.

Jean  Michel  Bazire teamed the  Nicolas  Bazire trainee  for Yvan Bernard the breeder/owner. Liza has 11 career wins in 18 starts for 473,900€.  The  61/1 Lara du Goutier (4f Ready Cash-Demoiselle Mike)  was a game second for trainer/driver Damien Bonne  for Ecurie Saint Martin. Third was 13/1 Love Letter (4f Royal Dream-Endiablee) driven by trainer/owner  Julien Dubois and bred by Jean Philippe Dubois. London at 6.7/1 and 7.4/1 Luminosity completed the top five  finishers..
