Lovissime wins Prix de Pardieu

Lovissime (4f Love You-Elegantissime-Ready Cash) scored in a sharp 1.12.1kr in today’s Gr. II monte Prix de Pardieu (purse 120,000€, 2175 meters, eight four year old females) at Paris-Vincennes.

Off at 7.4/1 odds the Guillaume Martin reined mare won for the fifth time in 12 starts for 219,550€. She represents legends in her pedigree top and bottom as he dam has already produced Kaviarissime a winner of 222,150€ and the second dam Ivre de Victorire (by Buvetier d’Aunou) has produced Brillantissime a brilliant young sire that won 958,375€. The trainer/owner team are also legends. Lovissime’s trainer Philippe Allaire has trained 1,879 winners in 11,773 starts and Frederic Sauque’s  owner trotteurs have 116 victories in 594 starts. And, Sauque also was a driver and jockey some time back.

Finishing second today was 4.6/1 odds Little Orelie (4f Feeling Cash) handled by jockey Mathieu Mottier, also he trainer, for Luc Vanderghagen. Home third was 9/1 Lisbonne Dry (4f Singalo) and jockey Paul Philippe Poquin ahead of 4.5/1  Lutin des Bordes (4f  Bilibili) handled by  Damien Bonne. The 9/10 odds favorite Lucky Jackson was a miscue disqualification.

In the co-featured Prix de Brest (Gr. III, purse 90,000€, 2850 meters distance handicap, 12 European starters ages 6-11) the 1.13.3kr timed winner was fats closing 4.1/1 odds Inato Pierji (7g Uniclove-Odyssee Pierji) handled by David Bekaert for trainer Alexandre Bonnefoy for owner Eric Capuano. This was the 20th career victory for the winner in 31 starts for  412,080€ earned. This win came after five straight defeats albeit three of those were second place finishes.

Home second in this one was 14/1 Iznogoud AM  (7g Muscle Hill-Beauty Of Gray) that Mathieu Mottier handled by Courant AB and trainer Sabine Kagebrant. The 20/1 odds Grindelwald (9f Rieussec) was third for driver Alexandre Abrivard, trainer L.C. Abrivard and owner Marylise Comolet. Toto Barosso (8g Ready Cash-Bibi Borosso) was fourth at 18/1 odds for Jean Michel Bazire and trainer Johan Untersteiner. The 7.8/1 Goal Star and 12/1 Global Dubhe were next followed by 1.5/1 favorite Iguski Sautonne.
