Milligan’s School (8m Yankee Glide-Tori Ann-SJs Photo) was a decisive winner of today’s Gr. I International Aby Stora Pris (1,500,000SEK first prize, total purse 2,895.000SEK, 3140 meters autostart, 12 starters) timed in a record 1.11.8kr for the distance.

Ulf Eriksson teamed the Stefan Melander trainee for Stall TZ as the winner recorded his 30th career win in 112 starts for 16,560,115SEK in career earnings. Milligan’s School was bred in the USA by Dick and Joyce McClelland of Ohio. He was off at 8.3/1 odds to defeat Zarenne FAS (6m Varenne-Miss Muscle FAS-Muscles Yankee) handled by Johan Untersteiner for trainer Jerry Riordan. Third home was Mindyourvalue WF (8g Hovding Lavec-Mind Your Manners-Dahir de Prelong) for Rikard Skoglund and trainer Robert Bergh. The well-regarded Bengurion Jet raced on the outer throughout and could not rally in the lane.

On the undercard was the STL Bronze (220,000SEK first prize, 2140 meters autostart, 12 starters) and 4.5/1 Rackham (5m Love You-Red Orchid) prevailed with a late rally with Orjan Kihlstrom up. Amornero Roc (5m Igor Font) and The Bald Eagle (5g Bold Eagle) trailed the winner.

Early on the card Zaccaria Bar (6m Ready Cash-Filanda-Lindy Lane) scored in 1.10.5kr in the Stora Sprinterpriset (220,000SEK first money, 1640 meters autostart, 10 starters) with trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro at the lines. Lucifer Lane (7m Infinitif) and Harran Boko (7g Maharajah) took the next two checks.
