Mojito Fraise, Kika Josselyn, L’As Desbois Groupe Victors in Paris

Today’s Prix de France undercard at Paris-Vincennes was a good one featuring three groupe level contests for four, five and six year olds. The Prix Louis de Bourg (monte Gr II, purse 120,000€, 2850 meters, 10 starters four year olds) started the affair with victory to 12/1 oidds Mojito Fraise(4m Bird Parker-Fraise Tagada)with Benjamin Rochard in the irons for conditioner Marc Sassier and Ecurie JR.

This was the third career win for Mojito Fraise timed in 1.13.8kr to advance his bankroll to 127,085€. Moustik La Govelle (4m Discours Joyeux-City Girl) gained second money at 2.9/1 odds ridden by trainer/breeder Damien Bonne for owner Christine Georges Labbe. Matignon (4m Bird Parker-Uticia) was home third at 28/1 with Francois Lagadeuc up for Thierry Bonardel and owner Y-ABriand.

Kika Josselyn (6f Prodigious-Uka josselyn-Cezio Josselyn) captured the Prix Mer et Vigne/de Rouen (Gr III, purse 90,000€, 2850 meters with 12 European starters six  year olds) with a decisive charge in early stretch for Benjamin Rochard (again) at 5.1/1 odds.

She  was timed in 1.12.8kr and now sports 11 victories in 22 starts for 228,105€ under the care of conditioner J.P. Monclin for Scuderia Twister. Yvan Bernard bred this mare. The 24/1 Kelle Beaute (6f Uniclove-Beaute Winner) took second for driver Alexandre Abrivard. Ecurie Augustin Normand owns this L. Cl. Abrivard trainee. Brothers In Arms (6m Fabulous Wood-Elusive Melody) was third at 8.4/1handled  by Matthieu Abrivard for Hermann Lehaer and trainer Wolfgang Nimczyk.  The next two were 48/1 Every Time Winner (6g Face Time Bourbon) and 55/1 Kemia du Chene (6f Bird Parker).

A great classy group of five year old open trotteurs battled in the Prix Ovide Moulinet (Gr II, purse 120,000€, 2700 meters, 10 five year old starters). L’As Desbois (5m Booster Winner-Doria Desbois-In Love With You) prevailed at 11/1 odds for the 1.12.1kr timed score.

Matthieu Abrivard teamed the eight time winner in 29 starts  for Joel Seche and trainer  William Bigeon. He has earned 338,965€ and he scored brilliantly after a slow pace by Liza Josselyn. Home second was 3.7/1 Liberte de Choisel (5f Captain Sparrow-River Love-Love You-La Fee-Defi d’Aunou) with Anthony Barrier on the lines for S.G. Dupont who trains for owner J.G. Viol.

The dam who won 191,000€ was bred by Jean Pierre Dubois. Lovino Bello (5m Village Mystic-Louvina Bello) was third as the 1.8/1 odds favorite reined by Clement Duvaldestin for his trainer Thierry  Duvaldestin  and owner Sandrine Robert. Remi Boucret bred this one. The 29/1 Louis  Vitton Mijo (5m Dollar  Macker) finished fourth for Benjamin Rochard ahead of the fading pacesetter 5.2/1 Liza Josselyn (5f Ready Cash-Belina Josselyn) with trainer Nicolas Bazire up. Lombok Jiel (5m Enino du Pommereux) was sixth at 2.7/1 followed by 41/1 Learn To Fly (5m Uriel Speed).
