Eighteen of the world’s best trotteurs will face the mobile gate Sunday at Paris-Vincennes in the Gr. I International Prix de France – The Speed Race, contested over 2100 meters.
This is the second of the France Triple Crown events in the Vincennes Winter Meet. The Prix de Paris – Marathon Race is next in two weeks.
The autostart Prix de France has the top nine entrants based on career money earned draw for post positions in the first row. The three top earners are Vivid Wise As (3,827,158€) from post four, Joviality (2,448,229) from post nine and Amerique winner Idea de Tillard (1,924,430€) from post seven.
Vivid Was As and Joviality and sired by US stallions Yankee Glide and Chapter Seven. Last year’s Amerique winner Hooker Berry will start from post one with Nicolas Bazire up. There are three euro millionaires in row two led by Go On Boy from post 18 and Philippe Allaire’s Italiano Vero from post 13.
The lineup has plenty of gate speed and the post draw presents interesting theoretical strategies and outcomes.
