23 trotteurs remain engaged to Sunday’s Prix de France – The Speed Race at Paris-Vincennes.
This Gr. I International event is raced over 2100 meters autostart for a 400,000€ purse. The white-hot Idao de Tillard enters as the likely favorite for trainer Thierry Duvaldestin. The speed record in the speed race was set in 2022 at 1.09.7kr by Vivid Wise As, the son of Yankee Glide, that will likely start here as he seeks a 22nd Gr. I victory.
Two other winners were timed in 1.09.8kr, Kool du Caux in 2007 and Delia du Pommereux in 2021. Since 2009 there have been three double winners and that list could be expanded if Vivid Wise As, Dalia du Pommereux or Ampia Mede SM should win. There are seven engaged from Sweden/Norway and there is proven speed among these, notably Joviality, Hail Mary and more. The final draw will occur Thursday.
