Derby du Gite mare wins feature

February 6, 2015 – The Cagnes sur mer feature harness racing event was the Prix Jules Roucayrol (€80,000, 2925 meters, European 10 starters) and it went to Roller Quick (10m Derby du Gite – Arquebuse) and trainer/driver Jean Uroz.

The 5/1 winner secured career win 16 now for €569,230 earned. 16/1 Soumoulou (9g First de Retz – Nuvelle Perle) was second ahead of 73/1 Starter du Rib (9g Ganymede – Juviga). Favorite Global Midnight was fifth.

Cagnes sur mer hosted Friday’s Quinte + (jackpot €5.3 million) with its Prix d’Olargues (€32,000, 2925 meters, 18 starters) and victory went to Verdi d’Em (6g Neoh Jiel – Heavenly) at 3/1 with Nicolas Ensch the trainer/driver. Uma Royale (7f Ipson de Mormal – Muse Royale) held second for owner/trainer/driver Yannick A. Briand at 8/1 in the event clocked by the winner in 1.14.3kr. 86/1 Trust Speed was third for A-A Chavatte and trainer Henk Grift.
