Top trotting action was at Bjerke (NO) on the weekend. The STL Gold-Gunnar Eggers Trot (purse to winner 16,844€, 2100 meters autostart) went to 1.14.3kr timed and 1.7/1 odds Stoletheshow (9m Dream Vacation-Abba Hall-Garland Lobell) reined by trainer Frode Hamre for Global Glide AAB.

The winner now has 31 career wins in 90 starts for 1,022,830€ earned. He has been a major player in major stakes in past years. Finishing second was 8.5/1 odds Beartime (9g Pastor Stephen-Global Ninni-Love You) with Andre Eklindh up. Third was 9.1/1 Mellby Jinx (6g Ready Cash-Heaven’s Door-Muscle Hill) with trainer Daniel Wajersten driving.

Stoletheshow

On the Bjerke card the STL Bronze (purse to winner 9,264€, 1609 meters autostart) saw the 2.5/1 odds Cool Trix (6g Trixton-Cooler Schooner-Broadway Hall) score in a brief snowstorm timed in 1.12.0kr. Trainer Frode Hamre teamed the winner to his 14th consecutive victory and 23rd career win in 32 starts for only 66,831€ earned. He is two for two in ’24 after a 2023 slate of 14-1-0 in 15 starts for 40,889€ earned and a speed mark of 1.11.3kr. He is owned by Erik Djuve/Sola.  Finishing second was 9.1/1 Creek’s Nu Love (6f Nu Pagadi-Creek’s Tamina-Tamin Sandy) handled by Dag Svenung Dalen. The sire Nu Pagadi now stands at the Platvoet Farm in Germany. Jello W (8g Timoko-Blush LM-Love You) was third at 21.6/1 odds driven by Eirik Hoitomt.

Another matter of interest is in Sweden where Alessando Gocciadoro is negotiating to lease the farm of Stig H. Johansson and wife Karin as his SWE training center. AG expects to have between 20 and 40  horses there depending on the season. They expect to add sand to the track material to satisfy an AG request.
