Street Genius (4m Uncle Lasse-Dats Veronica-Credit Winner) emerged from the pocket on the final turn to gain the lead and hold off challengers to win the Norbert Marschall Memorial (purse 600,000HUf, 1900 meters autostart) with Andrea Fazekas driving for Prolongo III and trainer Bernadett Balogh.
The winner was off as the 1.1/1 odds favorite and was timed in 1.16.7kr to record his seventh 2023 win in 10 starts. He now has 11 career wins in 20 starts. Anybody (7f Offenbach Bigi) was second for driver Johann Preining Jr. at 3.8/1 with third earned by Apollo Creed (7g Vioxx SR) at 14.8/1 odds with Krisztian Takacs aboard.
The co-featured Ferenc Vezer Handicap (purse 600,000Huf, 1960 meters distance handicap) went to 20 meter handicapped and 2.2/1 odds favorite Balerina R (5f SJs Photo-Campala RAL-Toss Out) with trainer Bernadett Balogh driving for Prolongo III. This victory was the winnerās second 2023 victory in 10 starts. Race time was 1.19.0kr. Velence R (9f Exploit Caf) was second for Gyorgy Farkas with third to Saya Best CD (6f Freiherr AS) driven by Laszlo Veres.
Earlier in the program Aerodynamics (5g Uncle Lasse-Centerline-Scarlet Knight) scored in the Oktober Anniversary (purse 500,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart) timed in 1.18.2kr at 2.8/1 odds. Johann Preining Jr. teamed the Bernadett Balogh trainee for Prolongo III. Balogh/Prolongo scored a triple on the Kincsem Park card.
Next week the Kincsem Park program will showcase three events with purse of 2,000,000Huf or more led by the 3,000,000Huf purse Nagydija for two-year olds. The unbeaten Fabrice (2m Maximus Lindy) leads this eight-horse field with this one part of the Balogh/Prolongo string.
